7stamp now separates Wallet push from email billing. Wallet push notifications are unlimited and free on every plan. Emails are the metered campaign channel, unless you send through Your own SMTP server. The new Own Channel / Branded Emails add-on gives teams a clean way to control how loyalty email is sent.
At a glance
- Default email is included in every plan and counts as Emails.
- Branded emails send from your verified domain through 7stamp and count as Emails.
- Your own SMTP server sends through your provider and is unlimited and never counted.
- Wallet push remains unlimited and free on every plan.
Why the add-on exists
Local businesses, agencies, and franchise networks do not all need the same sender setup. Some want to launch quickly from a shared sender. Some need a branded sender domain for trust. Others already use Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Amazon SES, Postmark, SendGrid, Mailgun, or another SMTP provider and want to keep that infrastructure.
Own Channel / Branded Emails puts these choices in one place instead of forcing every team into the same email path.
The three sending methods
| Method | Best for | Billing behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Default email | Fast launch and testing | Counts as Emails |
| Branded emails | Brand consistency without running mail infrastructure | Counts as Emails |
| Your own SMTP server | Higher volume or existing provider setups | Unlimited and never counted |
Branded emails without a separate email service
With Branded emails, email goes out from a verified domain such as noreply@send.yourbrand.com. You add DNS records for authentication, and 7stamp handles delivery. This is the simplest route when sender identity matters but you do not want to buy or operate another email platform.
Your own SMTP for unlimited sends
If your business already has an SMTP provider, you can connect it directly. You enter the SMTP host, port, encryption, username, password, From name, From email, and optional Reply-to address, then send a test email. After that, campaign email goes through your provider and is not counted by 7stamp.
How this changes pricing conversations
Pricing is easier to explain now: plans include Card Operations, Emails, and unlimited Wallet push. Free Forever includes 100 Emails per month. Growth and Growth Annual include 2,500 Emails per month. Default email and Branded emails count toward those limits. Your own SMTP server does not.
