Card Operation
One transaction on a customer's card, counted once whatever it includes. Issuing a card, redeeming a voucher, and looking up a card are free and never counted. The unit plan limits are counted in.
Card Operation is the usage unit that replaces vague talk about 'stamps' when pricing and plan limits need to be precise. In practice it equals one customer visit. The admin panel banner may call it a transaction.

How 7Stamp uses this term
A Card Operation is one transaction on a customer's card, and everything inside it counts once: several stamps, the reward it completes, or a Lottery spin inside the scan. One Card Operation is counted when staff scan a card and add stamps, when staff scan a card and deduct stamps, when staff scan a card but the purchase is below the price of one stamp so no stamp is added, when the same scan comes through a till or integration (Integration API / POS, Poster, payment terminal) for a customer who already has the card, and when a customer scans a receipt at a location bound to a stamp card.
Not counted: redeeming a Voucher (by Scanner, by the customer or via API) and deleting a Voucher; a Voucher issued manually from the admin panel; Vouchers from campaigns and birthday greetings (their emails count against Emails); issuing a card, including via a Delivery Insert or a join QR, even when stamps are credited with the card, so a new customer's first purchase on a terminal is not counted; and checking a card before a scan, searching for a customer, viewing a card, or changing a birthday.
The Free Forever plan, paid plans, and many Access Code Packages all describe monthly capacity in Card Operations, so understanding the term is essential for comparing commercial options correctly. With an Access Code on the account, operations come from the code's quota first, then from the plan.
